so you had a bad day + upcoming books + crime YouTube
One of those days where nothing seem to go right. Had to take a $30 cab ride to the office because I turned off my alarm and went back to bed. Then I went to pick up my medication from my doctor. Missed a med. Paid for courier $22 to pick up.
We have a visitor from HQ the next two days which means no WFH for Fridays (which is the norm).
My reading has slowed. There is a restlessness under my skin. I suspect it is PMS.
What I have read is interesting though. No More Tears, a non-fiction about Johnson & Johnson. I will be following it up with Patrick Radden Keefe's Empire of Pain (about the Sacklers)
On Monday I had finished Push: A Novel by Sapphire and it was so devastating.
On my Up Next list:
Borrowed
- The Haunting of Hill House
- On Earth As It Is Beneath
- Hollywood, Ending
Owned
- American Hagwon
- The Will of the Many
- Empire of Pain
- The Hunger Games (yep I have never read the series, I thought I was too good for YA back when it was published)
- White Oleander
On the topic of consumption. I have been watching loads of crime documentaries on YouTube.
My favourite crime channels to relax to are:
